Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with Pavlo Klimkin, Foreign Minister of Ukraine
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Pavlo Klimkin, Foreign Minister of Ukraine on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly on 29 September, 2015.
During the meeting the sides had exchange of views on the situation in Ukraine and Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov informed about the negotiations over the settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and stressed that the conflict must only be resolved on the basis of the norms and principles of international law, in particular the respect for internationally recognized borders, territorial integrity and sovereignty of states.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov noted the important role of the cooperation within GUAM in the development of relations among regional countries and mentioned the favorable opportunities for the cooperation in humanitarian and economic fields within the organization.
