Ukraine received humanitarian aid sent by Azerbaijan

Humanitarian aid consisting of the main electrical equipment organized by Azerbaijan in response to the request received from Ukraine in order to restore a stable supply of the affected territories with electricity, arrived in Ukraine.

Ceremony of hand over the humanitarian aid caravan held on December 17, in Chernivtsi, a Ukrainian city bordering Romania. The event was attended by charge d'affaires of Azerbaijan in Ukraine Sabir Rzayev, head of the Humanitarian Aid Center under the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Petr Lyutsiv, media representatives.

Sabir Rzayev noted that the humanitarian aid for the total amount of about 1 million 422 thousand manats includes 45 power transformers and 50 generators. Delivery of the second batch of humanitarian cargo is planned in the nearest future. Sabir Rzayev underlined that the total amount of humanitarian assistance provided by the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine is about 30 million manats.

Various organizations of Azerbaijan provided humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian people over the past six months. 90 Ukrainian children who suffered from the war and lost their relatives were brought to Azerbaijan for the medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation. School no. 12 named named after Zarifa Aliyeva, destroyed as a result of military operations in the city of Irpin, has been completely restored, and various humanitarian measures have been taken.
