Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on the allocation of funds to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the purpose of providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine
Based on the principles of humanism, the Republic of Azerbaijan provides humanitarian aid to many countries of the world on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
In connection with the latest situation in Ukraine, the State of Azerbaijani sent humanitarian aid to the Ukrainian people several times.
Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine are developing on the basis of friendship and partnership on the basis of relevant bilateral documents, in particular the "Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine" dated March 16, 2000, "Declaration on Friendship and Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine" dated May 22, 2008 and "Joint Declaration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the President of Ukraine" dated January 14, 2022.
Based on Clause 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I decide:
- To allocate funds in the amount of 7.6 million (seven million six hundred thousand) US dollars in manat equivalent to the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for purchase and shipment of electrical equipment for the purpose of providing humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
- To the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan - to provide financing in the amount specified in part 1 of this Order.
- The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan - to resolve issues arising from this Order.
