Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev met with the head and members of the public organization "United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine"
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev met with the head of the public organization "United Diaspora of Azerbaijanis of Ukraine" (UDAU) Hikmet Javad, as well as activists of the organization who came from Kyiv and the regions.
Before the meeting, the ambassador, diplomats of the embassy and the delegation of UDAU visited the monument to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani nation, Heydar Aliyev, in Kyiv.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador S.Mardaliyev noted that Ukrainian-Azerbaijani relations are developing in an upward direction, and noted that an important part of the development of cooperation between the two countries is connected with the name of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, and that the line laid by him is being successfully implemented today President Ilham Aliyev. Noting that he gets well acquainted with the activities of Azerbaijanis living in Ukraine and the diaspora as a whole, S.Mardaliyev expressed confidence that cooperation will continue.
UDAU Chairman and adviser to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Hikmet Javad spoke about the mission and work of the UDAU, noting that the diaspora also contributes to the relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, which are still developing even under difficult conditions. According to him, in Ukraine, which is currently at war, they have focused on financial support for low-income Azerbaijanis and sending humanitarian aid to the front lines. H.Javad and other speakers emphasized that they closely follow the processes taking place in the Motherland, and with great joy welcome Azerbaijan's full implementation of its territorial integrity.
