Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev visited Lviv
Ambassador Seymur Mardaliyev paid a working visit to Lviv. During the visit he held meetings with the heads of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv and Truskovets City Councils, discussed the current and future prospects of bilateral cooperation. During the official meetings, ideas were exchanged and agreements were reached regarding possible cooperation initiatives in the current conditions. Ukrainian officials highly appreciated the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine and expressed their gratitude.
As part of the visit, a postage stamp with the slogan "We are strong together" was presented. At the ceremony, S. Mardaliev, director of the JSC "Ukrposhta" in Western region Yevhen Savchuk, director general of the group of companies "Zahidnadraservice" Stepan Kozitskyi and public activist Yuriy Kotik stamped and presented a stamp dedicated to Azerbaijani-Ukrainian friendship and printed in 1000 copies.
During the visit S. Mardaliev met with representatives of the Azerbaijani community and diaspora organizations living in the Lviv region. At the meeting the ambassador spoke about the importance and care of the state of Azerbaijan for the diaspora, shared recommendations for the productive and useful activities of diaspora organizations, listened to the proposals and requests of compatriots, exchanged mutual opinions. It was noted that our diaspora in Lviv Oblast is developing, its activities are productive, and information was provided about the measures and initiatives taken in relation to the difficulties of the pandemic and the war. The meeting also discussed the creation of an Azerbaijani school in Lviv, assistance in the consular service to compatriots living in Western Ukraine, processing of their documents and other relevant issues. S. Mardaliev shared his recommendations regarding the safety of our compatriots in war conditions and congratulated them on the holiday of Ramadan.
As part of the visit, Ambassador S. Mardaliev visited the Ophthalmological Center named after the outstanding ophthalmologist Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, established in Lviv City Clinical Hospital No. 1, got acquainted with the activities and needs of the center, and also visited the grave of Sadig Bey Agabeyzade, who was the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
