Bright memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev commemorated in Kyiv
On 21st anniversary of the death of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, a commemorative ceremony was held in front of the monument to the Great Leader in the Heydar Aliyev Park in Kyiv.
As reported by AZERTAJ, staff of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Ukraine, GUAM, SOCAR Energy Ukraine, diplomats of the Embassy of Turkey in Ukraine laid flowers before the monument to the Great Leader and honored the dear memory of the National Leader with a minute of silence.
A commemorative event continued in the Heydar Aliyev Hall of the Embassy. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev spoke about the unprecedented merits of the Great Leader in the formation and development of the independent Azerbaijani state. He noted that the years that the Great Leader ruled Azerbaijan have always played a decisive role in determining the fate and future of our country. “The strong Azerbaijan, which today left us the National Leader, is becoming stronger thanks to the successful and well-thought-out policy of his worthy successor, President Ilham Aliyev, and is becoming a voice in the world. That is why, under the leadership of the victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army liberated our territories from occupation,” said Seymur Mardaliyev.
At the event, GUAM Secretary General Altay Efendiyev and "SOCAR Energy Ukraine" Director General Elchin Mammadov spoke about the merits of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev to our people and his role in forming the traditions of statehood in Azerbaijan.
