On May 25, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha within the framework of the visit of the Ukrainian Minister to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, an exchange of views was held on current issues of the cooperation agenda based on friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, including the possibilities of developing cooperation in the political, economic, energy, transport and humanitarian spheres.

During the meeting, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the consistent support that Azerbaijan and Ukraine have demonstrated throughout history for each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and also stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations between states based on respect for the norms and principles of international law, particularly sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.

Noting that there are prospects for the development of bilateral economic relations in various fields between the two countries, the parties stated that the work of the Government Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine is of great importance from the point of view of the development of cooperation.

The parties also discussed issues of regional and international security and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest in this context.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the Ukrainian side about the reconstruction and construction work being carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan in the post-conflict period, as well as the latest situation regarding the process of normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the obstacles created by Armenia in this process.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in turn, highly appreciated the humanitarian assistance that Azerbaijan provides to Ukraine, in particular, support in the areas of recovery and reconstruction in the conflict-affected areas, as well as humanitarian demining. Minister Andriy Sybiha congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on May 28 - Independence Day.

The meeting also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
