Azerbaijan and ICRC announce international painting contest dedicated to missing persons and their families
The State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Committee of the Red Cross have announced an international painting contest for artists over 17 years old.
The works submitted for the competition, dedicated to missing persons and their families during armed conflicts, will be presented during the international conference on the relevant topic in Azerbaijan October 2-3, 2024. The author of the five best works will be awarded a cash prize.
Announcement about the contest can be reached through the pages of the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
- Main themes of the contest are “missing person”, “family of missing person” and “disaapearance”;
- The contest is open for both local and foreign artists;
- The selection process will be conducted by a pre-determined jury;
- The size of the paintings should not be less than 50 x 60 cm;
- The framed paintings should be submitted by 20 September 2024;
- Artists participating from abroad should submit the high-quality photos of their paintings to the following email: narminavaliyeva94@gmail.com;
- Three winners will be selected;
- The winner of the first place would be awarded with the prize in the amount of 1000 AZN, the winner of the second place 700 AZN, and the winner of the third place 500 AZN;
- In addition, two paintings which specially impressed the members of the jury will be each awarded 200 AZN;
